Josiah’s GrahamFest
Aug 27, 2008It’s the 2nd annual GrahamFest music festival this Labor Day weekend, Sunday and Monday at the Major Graham Mansion and Grounds near Max Meadows, Virginia in Wythe County. Here’s a preview of the festival and a chat with the man behind the music.

The Sunshine of Our Lives
Aug 25, 2008She shined here for nearly six years! But, alas, we have to bid a fond farewell to our treasured friend and co-worker, Selena “Sunshine” Wiles. What a distinct pleasure it’s been sharing the 5:00 and 5:30 anchor desk with her! She’s an important member of the Cable Country family and we’ll miss her so much!

Old Butler Days
Aug 01, 2008The numbers are quite significant. 60 years since the completion of Watauga Dam. 20 years of Old Butler Days. The anniversaries will be marked with a big festival next weekend in the town of Butler. Here’s a preview of the festival and why they celebrate it.
Old Butler Days will be Friday August 8 from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m. and Saturday August 9 from 1:00 to 10:00 p.m.
The Watauga Academy Alumni Reunion will be held Sunday August 10.
